Sarah Dixon

Sarah Dixon has played for Scottish Universities and sevens for Wooden Spoon as well as the England and Great Britain rugby league teams.

She made her Scotland XV debut against the Netherlands in Amsterdam in November 2011, scoring the first of Scotland's five tries - within three minutes - in the 33-10 victory. Her second try came against Italy in the final match of the 2012 6 Nations. In her tenth game, also against the Netherlands, in April 2013, she scored her third try in the opening victory of the FIRA WRWC qualifier.

Sarah played in all four tournaments during the debut Scotland Women 7s season in 2012 scoring four tries in Amsterdam, four tries at Rugby Rocks London, nine tries at the FIRA-AER European qualifier in Ghent and nine tries at the FIRA WRWC qualifier in Moscow. At the latter event, she was named third top points scorer (45) behind Cup winners England’s Watmore (60) and Staniford (50). Following injury, she returned to play in the June 2014 FIRA tournament in Bergen, scoring ten tries over the weekend.

The Walton High School former pupil played for Stirling University prior to joining Stirling County. She studied sports coaching (MSc) at Stirling University and currently works at the sportscotland national sports training centre at Inverclyde.
