Chris Fusaro became Scotland's 1052nd cap when he made his debut in the 2014 Calcutta Cup match at Murrayfield.
He signed for Glasgow Warriors in summer 2010 and burst into the team to great effect in season 2011/12, establishing himself as a key component of the pack with his aggression and ball-winning ability at openside.
He was named Warriors Player of the Season, and Players' Player of the Season, and was rewarded with a long-term contract extension, that will keep him at the club until at least the end of May 2016.
Prior to joining the Warriors on his debut professional contract, Fusaro represented Scotland A at the IRB Nations Cup in Romania.
Early in 2007 Chris was among a group of boys who achieved a notable double in playing for two trophy-winning teams at Murrayfield in eight days – Bell Baxter High School beating Dollar Academy 20-8 in the Bell Lawrie Scottish Schools Cup final, and Howe of Fife winning the SRU Youth League final against Musselburgh by 27-14.
He has also played for Scotland under-20 and under-18 as well as Caledonia under-16, under-17, and under-18, and he was in the Bell Baxter team who won the Scottish Schools under-17 4 x 100m relay championship.
He played for Heriot's in the Premiership before winning his first professional contract with Glasgow Warriors.
