A powerful scrummager and increasingly impactful presence in the loose, Ed Kalman's form in season 2011/12, most notably in the home Heineken Cup game against European champions Leinster, saw him called up to the Scotland squad for the RBS 6 Nations Championship.
Kalman was tight-head in the Cambridge team who beat Oxford in the 2005 University match at Twickenham. The following summer he joined Border Reivers, and a year later he moved to Glasgow Warriors, returning to the region in which he learned his rugby.
