Gordon Reid became Scotland's 1055th international cap when he made his debut in the first match of the 2014 summer tour against the USA in Houston.
Away wins over Canada and Argentina followed on the same tour, as well as replacement appearances in all three Autumn Test matches against Argentina and New Zealand at BT Murrayfield, and Tonga at Rugby Park.
Reid then made his RBS 6 Nations debut in the 2015 Championship against France in Paris before a knee injury against Wales, in the following round, brought an end to his campaign.
A key figure in Glasgow Warriors' PRO12 title success, Reid returned to the Scotland fold in all four of the 2015 Summer Test matches, starting in the away win over Italy in Torino.
His performances earned him a place in the 31-man Scotland squad for Rugby World Cup 2015, in which he made three appearances - starting against South Africa, and coming on as a repalcement against Samoa, and then Australia in the quarter-final
Reid joined the Glasgow Warriors set-up on a full-time basis ahead of season 2011/12 after delivering a string of standout performances for Ayr in Premier 1 and impressing as part of the wider Warriors squad during the previous campaign.
He is now an integral part of the Warriors pack and scrums alongside Pat MacArthur, with whom he has packed down at every club, school and international age-grade the pair have played together.
