Mark Bennett

Mark Stewart Bennett crowned some consistently exciting performances for Glasgow Warriors and Scotland 7s by making a winning debut for Scotland in the 41-31 viagogo Autumn Test victory against Argentina. He is a highly-rated centre who can also play on the wing. He represented Scotland four times at under-18 level and 17 times at under-20 level, and captained the Glasgow under-18 and under-16 teams.

Bennett turned out for Cumnock all the way through to the 1XV before moving to Ayr and after a highly successful season with the Premier Cup 2011 champions he signed for French Top 14 side Clermont Auvergne.

His father, Stewart, played for Carnoustie HSFP, Kilmarnock and Cumnock. His sister also plays and was selected for the under-18 Scotland pathway squad.

In season 2012/13 he returned to Glasgow Warriors on loan and has since made the move permanent.
