Players who are affected by a condition which requires them to take medication containing a prohibited substance may apply for a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) provided they can provide the necessary medical certification.

Asthma sufferers should note that use of salbutamol, salmetorol or formoterol inhalers such as Ventolin, Serevent, Foradil or Oxis within the recommended dosage levels is no longer prohibited. However, a TUE is still required for terbutaline based inhalers such as Bricanyl and this will require a Bronchodilator or Bronchoprovocation test result.
TUE forms can be downloaded via the links below and should be submitted to the SRU at TUE@SRU.org.uk for processing via UKAD or the IRB as appropriate.
