FOUNDATION COACHING COURSES
COURSE AIMS:
Foundation Courses Foundation Courses are designed to help any adult introducing children to the game for the first time.
The emphasis throughout is to create exciting, enjoyable, game-based activities through which the children learn and apply the basic skills, concepts, and rules that make rugby union such a great game to play. The focus is on the skills, concepts and rules required for three "easy to play - easy to coach" games: Tag Rugby, New Image Rugby, and Mini Rugby.
The course will provide the coach with information, advice, and encouragement to help children play and learn in a safe, stimulating, and fun environment. The course is mainly activity based; however there is no need to participate in the practical elements of the course should you not wish to.
Entry Requirements: Candidates must be over 16 years of age
Cost: The course has a minimum cost of £20 and is delivered by fully qualified tutors.
Duration: The course duration is approximately six hours and may run over one or two sessions.

JOINT FOUNDATION AND REFEREEING COURSES
COURSE AIMS:
This integrated foundation coaching and refereeing course is designed to improve the quality of coaching and refereeing at mini level. This course is similar to the Foundation coaching course detailed above but also includes the Foundation Refereeing qualification.
Entry Requirements: Candidates must be over 16 years of age
Cost:£30
Duration: The course duration is approximately six hours and may run over one or two sessions.
