Last season saw a record breaking number of entries in both U15 and U18 tournaments with the U18 competition reaching the 100 entries milestone and U15 competition having an entry of 92 schools.
The launch of the 2007-08 Bell Lawrie U15 and U18 Scottish Schools Cups took place on Tuesday 4 September at Murrayfield. The conference was be attended by Scotland Rugby World Cup players Fergus Thomson and John Barclay (both Glasgow Warriors). Fergus is a former pupil of the reigning Under-18 champions, Bell Baxter HS, whereas Barclay was a member of the Dollar Academy Cup winning team in 2004.
