SCRUMS (Scottish Rugby Management System) was launched in 2018 and is used to record all player registrations as well as club officials and other staff / volunteers. The system is also used to manage Scottish Rugby competitions, including reporting fixture results, teamsheet submissions, serious injury reports and disciplinary reports.
All clubs and schools can access SCRUMS to manage their own data including players / club officials / staff and to submit teamsheets and injury reports. SCRUMS is also an important source of contact information allowing clubs and schools to contact each other.
Any clubs or schools who do not yet have SCRUMS access should email [email protected], providing the name and email address of their nominated SCRUMS Liaison person (e.g. the Club Secretary, Data Manager or Teacher in charge of Rugby).
Updates to SCRUMS
SCRUMS functionality expanded to allow coaches and match officials to register on the system too. This allows clubs and schools to manage their coach / match official workforce and will simplify tasks such as submission of active coach information to Scottish Rugby, which will be done through SCRUMS from season 2019/20 onwards.
Scottish Rugby now require the home team of ANY fixture to report the outcome of the game, along with the number of tries scored. Scottish Rugby requires the score to be uploaded to SCRUMS no later than two hours after the fixture has concluded.
This new process enables Scottish Rugby to update the league tables on scottishrugby.org.
Using SCRUMS, club administrators will be able to login and submit the scores of their fixtures, or let us know that a match has been postponed.
