Supporting Clubs Investment Programme

Supporting Clubs Investment Programme

To continue to support clubs during the unique set of circumstances the Covid-19 outbreak has created, Scottish Rugby has created the Supporting Clubs Investment Programme to assist clubs through season 2020-21.

For this season, the investment programme replaces MOS/CSA and has been designed to reflect the current priorities and needs clubs have, which are quite distinct from previous seasons.

Aligned to Scottish Rugby’s 4-point plan “Respond, Reset, Recover and Rebuild”, the Supporting Clubs Investment Programme will seek to focus on 3 distinct categories:

  • Reset
  • Recover
  • Rebuild

Update - 20 November 2020

In light of the announcement that all competitions for season 20/21 have been cancelled, Scottish Rugby have revised the Supporting Clubs Investment Programme to reflect this situation and to maintain funding to our clubs.

Our focus remains centred around the 3 distinct categories of Reset, Recover and Rebuild and ensuring that our clubs will receive the appropriate level of funding that they would have received had our revised competitions gone ahead as planned this season.

The changes to the programme are as follows:

Where the funding was due for participation in competitions i.e. the Tennent’s Leagues, the Mitsubishi Conferences or the Girls’ Series these payments will be made automatically to clubs that were due to participate in these competitions.

Scottish Rugby will continue to support our clubs with Development Officer funding as agreed with each individual club participating in that scheme. For further information on the funding available please contact your Regional Director.
