Supporting Clubs Investment Programme
Due to the ongoing implications of the Covid-19 outbreak and the impact this has had on clubs, Scottish Rugby will be implementing the Supporting Clubs Investment Programme for an additional season, replacing MOS/CSA. This investment model has been created to support our clubs to grow, develop and sustain progress through season 2021-22 and beyond.
The Supporting Clubs Investment Programme will encourage clubs and communities to ensure that they are strongly positioned in terms of compliance with policies, procedures and guidelines linked to Covid-19 safety.
There will also be a key focus on player and volunteer welfare, accessing quality game play opportunities through Scottish Rugby’s formal structures and the promotion of community engagement and sustainable club development planning.
Engagement with regional teams will be essential for a club to be successful in obtaining investment. Collaboration between Scottish Rugby and our clubs will give a strong platform for the game and help rugby communities to grow and progress.
Aligned to Scottish Rugby’s 4-point plan “Respond, Reset, Recover and Rebuild”, and embedded within the corporate strategy, the Supporting Clubs Investment Programme will continue to focus on 3 distinct categories:
- Reset: Ensure well governed and safe rugby environments
- Recover: Expand playing opportunities and pathways
- Rebuild: Develop People and Volunteers and deliver quality rugby experiences for all
The Player Improvement Fund is clearly outlined within the Standards document where a full breakdown can be found.
