Preview: Scotland Women v France Women

Scotland host France at Scotstoun Stadium for the third round of their 2022 TikTok Women's Six Nations campaign.

Scotland took a share of the spoils against France in their last encounter in 2020, with both sides coming away with a 13-13 draw at Scotstoun Stadium.

This weekend will potentially see further milestones for the Scotland group, as Sarah Law could make her 50th appearance if called upon from the bench. The Penicuik-born playmaker made her debut nine years ago against England in the opening 2013 Six Nations match.

Head Coach preview

Scotland Women Head Coach, Bryan Easson, said: “We’ve had a good review this week following last Saturday’s result against Wales and we’ve taken a lot of learnings on-board. I think we performed well for the first 50 minutes and created a lot of chances while demonstrating a strong defensive effort at the same time.

“We’ve spoken this week about being a lot more clinical and working a little bit harder off-the-ball to make sure those running lines are more detailed for the match this weekend.

“There is only a handful of changes to the starting line-up this week but it is pleasing to see consistency and strength within this group at the moment.

“Unfortunately Emma Wassell is unavailable due to injury, however, Louise McMillan is a fantastic player who fully deserves her spot in the starting line-up this week.

“We had an excellent home crowd a few weeks ago at the DAM Health Stadium and the squad are very excited to run out in front of the supporters again this weekend at Scotstoun Stadium.”
