Preview: Scotland U20 v France U20
Scotland U20 take on France U20 at DAM Health Stadium tomorrow night (25 February) for the third round in their Under-20 Six Nations Campaign.
What the coach said
Head coach Kenny Murray said: ‘’Obviously we are frustrated with the result against Wales, but the team have proved what they’re capable of as we’ve been in the lead at half time in both games now, and we still created chances to score after that, but we just didn’t take the opportunities as much as we could’ve, which is what we’re working on and moving forward with to use as a winning template.
‘’France will have a big pack behind them, but we showed that we can match that when we played against England, so we’re excited for the challenge.’’
- Scotland U20 will be looking for their first win, over France U20, in this year’s Under-20 Six Nations campaign.
- Scotland U20 will also be hoping for their first ever win over France U20, as their last semi-victory was in 2010 where they drew 8 – 8.
- There are 12 players named in the Scotland U20 team who previously played in the U20 Six Nations last summer in Cardiff.
- More than half of starting players are supported by the FOSROC Scottish Rugby Academy.
