Rugby World Cup squad to be unveiled at public event
Scotland Head Coach Gregor Townsend will announce his final Rugby World Cup squad selection at a public event at Linlithgow Palace – birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots – on Tuesday 3 September.
The event will begin around 12.30pm with a rugby festival on ‘the Peel’ grounds surrounding the palace for hundreds of young players from local clubs and schools, before attentions are turned to Townsend as he names the squad captain and introduces the 31-man group heading to Japan, one by one at 2pm.
Scotland supporters are invited to join this special occasion and get the chance to meet the group selected to represent the nation in the land of the rising sun.
