Scottish Rugby and Vitality extend partnership

Scottish Rugby and Vitality have committed to their health and wellbeing partnership for a further two years.

The partnership, which began in 2015, sees Vitality continue to be the Official Wellness Partner of Scottish Rugby until 2021.

Through the partnership Vitality will continue to use the power of sport to inspire people to get more active and improve their health.

Toni Blackhurst, Scottish Rugby Head of Group Marketing and Commercial, said: “We are delighted that Vitality have committed to this partnership for a further two years.

“Working with a brand that has health and wellbeing at its core naturally aligns with our passion for sport and exercise.

“It’s fantastic to be able to contribute, with rugby-related money can’t buy experiences, towards Vitality’s member rewards, which incentivise member wellness by giving something back to those who are active.

“We look forward to continuing to build the partnership while encouraging more people to lead healthy lifestyles.”

Through the relationship with Scottish Rugby, new and existing Vitality members will also have the chance to win tickets, signed merchandise and money can’t buy experiences.

Since the partnership began in 2015, Scottish Rugby has delivered activation sessions to inspire people to lead healthier lives through sport and activity.

The activation in the fan zone at Scotland’s recent home Guinness Six Nations matches saw thousands of children participate in a range of rugby-related challenges and drills with Scottish Rugby development coaches.

The partnership with Scottish Rugby recently saw rugby clubs offered the chance to win a training session with Scotland Head Coach Gregor Townsend. Greenock Wanderers Ladies Team were the lucky recipients with Gregor spending the evening with the club.

Nick Read, Managing Director of the Vitality Programme, said: “We’re passionate about helping people live healthier lives and through our collaboration with elite sporting organisations such as Scottish Rugby, we can continue to encourage people to be more active and make healthier choices.

“We are really excited to have renewed our partnership with Scottish Rugby and we are looking forward to giving our more people more opportunities to engage with and participate in sport.”
