Thomas Cook: Guinness Six Nations Customer Update

Thomas Cook: Guinness Six Nations Customer Update

Following the announcement earlier this week that Thomas Cook has ceased trading, Scottish Rugby has been working to understand the impact for our supporters who have purchased packages for the forthcoming Guinness Six Nations. Given the sudden nature of this announcement we appreciate that Thomas Cook customers will have lots of questions, and we have tried to find out what we can in order to present some clarity on the current position.

As Thomas Cook has gone into liquidation, we understand that all of its customer bookings for the Guinness Six Nations are no longer valid.

Scottish Rugby has been advised that anyone who has booked Thomas Cook packages should take the following steps:

  • If your package involved a flight then it is likely that you will be ATOL protected, meaning you should seek to claim a refund from the CAA. For queries, the CAA’s call centre for Thomas Cook customers can be contacted on 0300 303 3800 or +44 1753 330 330 if calling from overseas. The form you will need to complete to process your claim will be available from the 30th September on www.thomascook.caa.co.uk
  • If your package was for hotel and ticket only, you should contact your debit card or credit card company that you used to pay for the package to discuss any refund processes that they might have in place.

We are aware that some fans have booked packages to secure tickets to BT Murrayfield or to away fixtures in the 2020 calendar. If you still wish to attend the match you had bought a package for, please contact Scottish Rugby’s Ticket office via email [email protected] by the 30th October 2019 to discuss this further.
