First selected on a part-time training contract in 2017/18, Harvey Elms was named as part of the Scotland 7s core playing group for 2018/19.

Born in North Berwick, he played rugby for both the local club and his school before joining Currie in Scotland’s top tier.

Elms made his debut on the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series at the 2017 Dubai leg in what was head coach John Dalziel’s first tournament in charge, before being named as a core member the following season.

He was part of the 12-man squad for the 2018 Sevens World Cup in San Francisco, scoring in the memorable 31-26 comeback win over Kenya which secured a berth in the quarter-finals.
