Adam Ashe became Scotland international player 1060 when he made his debut in the final game of the 2014 summer tour, against South Africa in Port Elizabeth - a late call up from his time on the Macphail scholarship in New Zealand - and made his RBS 6 Nations debut in the 2015 championship against England at Twickenham.
The Glasgow Warriors number 8 was part of the Scotland 7s squad in season 2011/12, and scored two tries from the nine 7s caps he won that season.
Equally comfortable in any of the back-row positions, Ashe attended Alva Academy and has played club rugby for Hillfoots and Stirling County.
He has represented Scotland at under-17, under-18 and under-20 level, and likes golfing, skiing and playing the drums in his spare time.
Adam was man of the match as Scotland under-20 defeated their Irish counterparts at Netherdale in 2013. He went on to win ten Scotland under-20 caps.
Injury restricted his appearances in the 2013/14 season. However he was named recipient of the John Macphail Scholarship and has been playing club rugby for Canterbury University in Christchurch, New Zealand over the summer of 2014.
