Hailed as the ‘complete package’, Du Preez is very strong physically, is an exceptionally good carrier and powerful in defence.
A serious lower leg injury during the sixth match of 2014/15 against Dragons was expected to end his season however he was able to make a welcome return, off the bench, against the Dragons, in the April 2015 European Cup semi-final win at BT Murrayfield.
Du Preez qualifies for Scotland through residency.
