A former U20 cap, Scott Steele is named for the first time in a full Scotland squad on the back of a successful six-year stint with London Irish, from whom he joins Harlequins for the new season.
The Dumfries-born half-back was a keen footballer growing up, and was on the books at Kilmarnock before committing to rugby.
Steele made his Scotland debut in the 14-10 win over Wales in the 2020 Guinness Six Nations championship.
