Alexander Morgan Henry Clayton made his Scotland U20 debut in the third round of the 2021 Six Nations in Cardiff.

The student of Integrated Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Bath University started his rugby career aged 8 years old at Hove RFC.

He is a product of Brighton College and has represented Harlequins at U18 level.

He is the son of former Olympian Daley Thompson, he followed in his fathers athletic footsteps briefly when qualified for English Schools in hurdles and multi-events.

He qualifies to play for Scotland as his Thompson grandmother hailed from Lossiemouth.
