Born in Edinburgh, former Stewart's Melville pupil Jack Blain has represented Scotland at under-16, under-18 and under-19 levels.

Blain currently plays for Heriot's Rugby in the FOSROC Super6 and has already put in a number of notable performances for his side.

In 2018 the winger became the first player born in 2000 to play a match for Edinburgh when he faced Bath in a pre-season friendly at Megetland. He has since appeared for Edinburgh, making his debut against Treviso.

Blain was ever-present in both the 2019 U20 Six Nations and World Rugby U20 Championship, with the winger showcasing his lethal finishing abilities in both tournaments.

He opened his 2020 campaign with a try in the sides first game against Ireland in Cork.
