Mairi Ann Forsyth, a Peterhead Academy principal teacher of maths and physics received her first cap for Scotland Women against Canada in 2018.

She has played for Scotland under 18 and under 20 and Scotland A. She was the Grangemouth club’s player of the year in 2008-2009.

She started playing when her teacher, an ex-Scotland Women internationalist, at Denny High School got her involved at the age of 15.

She quickly developed through the Scotland age grades whilst playing for Hillhead Jordanhill.

She was selected for Scotland Women in 2018 and in 209 began playing for Corstorphine Cougars.
