Ben Vellacott was called up for the Scotland squad for the 2022 Six Nations in January 2022.

Ben Vellacott represented Scotland U20 at the 2014 and 2015 U20 Six Nations and Junior World Championships.

He made his breakthrough with Gloucester in the 2017/18 season, scoring seven tries in 26 appearances.

He then made the move to Wasps, scoring two tries in six appearances in his first season there.

At the start of the 2021/22 season, Vellacott moved to Edinburgh Rugby and made an instant impact, scoring four tries in his first eight United Rugby Championship games.

It was this form that earned him his first Scotland call-up ahead of the 2022 Guinness Six Nations, and he made his international debut off the bench in the win over Italy in Rome.
