It was on the North America tour of 2018 that he truly burst onto the Scotland scene, with a hat-trick against USA followed up by another score in the game with Canada a week later.
The former Stewart’s Melville College pupil featured at both 2019 and 2023 Rugby World Cups and during the latter, the prolific Turner notched an impressive 10th try for Scotland in their match against Tonga.
After a year playing in Japan with Kobelco Kobe Steelers, Turner joined Harlequins for the 2025/26 season, and made a return to the Scotland setup after a year out when he was recalled for the 2025 Quilter Nations Series.
