He then became an international age-grade captain, leading his country to an historic 24-6 win over England in 2016; Scotland’s first over the Auld Enemy at under-20 level.
A rapid rise saw Scott win a first full cap in a 2019 Rugby World Cup warm-up against France, and he was named in the final squad shortly after.
Now a centurion with the Warriors, in 2023 he featured at a second Rugby World Cup and holds the distinction of playing in each of the eight tournament matches for which he has been available.
Scott, like Pierre Schoeman, reached 50 caps, and scored a try, against Argentina in the 2026 Nations Championship fixture in Cordoba.
