Matthew Desmond Deehan was named in the Scotland U20 squad for the 2022 Six Nations in January 2022.
Matt started his rugby career at 12 years old playing for his school, RGS Newcastle.
He has played for Newcastle Falcons Senior Academy since 2021 and was involved in their Junior Academy since 2018.
He is currently studying Medicine at the University of Liverpool.
