2020 AUTUMN TESTS

Scotland play New Zealand, Japan and Argentina at BT Murrayfield in next year’s Autumn Tests. At the moment, the weekends for each game are known but the actual dates and kick-off times are still to be confirmed. A pre-Christmas release of 3-Match Autumn Test Packages has sold out, but there will be a further release of packages and individual match tickets in due course. Details of any sale will appear on this page as soon as they are known, as well as on all your usual Scottish Rugby channels (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter). You can also sign up to receive our weekly newsletter, in which all ticket sales are announced well in advance. (Scotland Supporters Club members will be given prior access ahead any public sale).

Of course, all three Autumn Tests will be included in the 2020/21 Scotland Season Pass (and no seats currently used as a Season Pass were sold as part of the initial Pre-Christmas sale). Scotland Season Pass renewals will start towards the end of the 2020 Guinness Six Nations Championship. Those who have chosen the auto-renewal scheme (i.e. paid by Direct Debit) will be automatically allocated their current seat(s), while those who have not auto-renewed will be given prior access to remaining seats currently held by Season Pass holders before any general sale.

SCOTLAND v ARGENTINA

Fri 6th or Sat 7th or Sun 8th November
Kick-off: TBC

Currently ranked number 10 in the world - one below Scotland – the Pumas beat USA and Tonga at the recent Rugby World Cup but narrowly lost to France (21-23) in their opening game and then to eventual finalists, England. Scotland have won the last three games against Argentina at BT Murrayfield – including the 41-31 nine-try thriller in 2014 – and will be in determined mood to keep the record intact in the opening Autumn Test.

SCOTLAND v JAPAN

Fri 13th or Sat 14th or Sun 15th November
Kick-off: TBC

Inspired performances in their home Rugby World Cup - when they beat Ireland, Samoa and Russia before beating Scotland in the winner-takes-all final pool game of the tournament – have taken Japan to number 8 in the world rankings, one ahead of Scotland. The last time Japan visited BT Murrayfield was for the opening Autumn Test in 2013 when a crowd of just over 32,000 cheered on a Scotland win. Thanks to their amazing Rugby World Cup run, a crowd twice that size is expected to welcome the Brave Blossoms to BT Murrayfield next November!

SCOTLAND v NEW ZEALAND

Fri 20th or Sat 21st or Sun 22nd November
Kick-off: TBC

Although Scotland have never beaten New Zealand, there have been some close encounters at BT Murrayfield over the years, including the classic 25-25 draw in 1983. More recently, Scotland pushed them all the way in 2014 (with Tommy Seymour scoring a classic interception try) before eventually going down 16-24. Three years later it was even closer, when a brilliant try-saving tackle by Beauden Barrett on Stuart Hogg in the last minute denied the long-awaited Scotland win. Will they do it in 2020? Don’t miss the chance to find out - a classic match to wrap up the Autumn Tests!
