2020 Autumn Nations Cup Behind Closed Doors
With the COVID-19 pandemic still affecting many aspects of public life in Scotland the move by the Scottish Government to a new tiered level of restrictions on travel and households meetings across the country means it will not be possible to host spectators at BT Murrayfield in Edinburgh for the Autumn Nations Cup in November.
Scottish Rugby has consulted with the Scottish Government regularly on this matter and they agree it will be unlikely crowds will be possible in the coming weeks, due to the restrictions now in place.
The 2020 Autumn Nations Cup ticket ballots – which were opened to NEVIS members three weeks ago when there was still a chance crowds would be permitted – are now closed. NEVIS members have been contacted and no payments have been taken for these ballots. The Autumn Nations Cup games will be available to watch live on Amazon Prime.
Scottish Rugby is disappointed supporters won’t be able to come to the stadium this autumn, but consultation continues with the Scottish Government in the expectation crowds can return at some capacity soon and specifically for the 2021 Guinness Six Nations, should the public health guidelines allow.
2021 Guinness Six Nations Ticket Ballots

Everything you need to know about a NEVIS or MACDUI membership and ticket ballots can be found in our ASK Scottish Rugby section of the website, with FAQs on all aspects of the ballots being regularly updated.
Match Day Safety
Everyone applying for match tickets via the ballot can be assured that the safety measures put in place at BT Murrayfield on match days will be in stringent compliance with all Scottish Government guidelines. The ‘pilot’ event (Edinburgh v Glasgow Warriors) at the stadium in August at which all these measures were put into practice was hailed as a great success by the Scottish Government. Scottish Rugby will have in place similar measures for Scotland games this season, and strongly advises all ticket purchasers (indeed, all supporters) to download the Protect Scotland app.
• All tickets will be electronic, to be either printed at home or scanned on your mobile device;
• Scottish Rugby’s ticketing terms and conditions have been updated to reflect restrictions related to COVID-19;
• Entry times to the stadium will be staggered to minimise queues;
• Physically-distanced queues at turnstiles, bars and catering stalls within the stadium;
• Everyone entering the stadium must wear a face mask;
• Hand sanitisers will be available at all turnstiles and toilets;
• Physically distanced seating
• Cashless sales at bars, catering and shop.
