British & Irish Lions v Japan
BT Murrayfield will host the British & Irish Lions Test match against Japan on Saturday 26 June 2021 for the Vodafone Lions 1888 Cup (kick-off TBC).
The first-ever clash between the world’s greatest touring side and the Brave Blossoms will raise the curtain for the Lions’ eagerly awaited Tour to South Africa, which culminates in a three-Test series against Rugby World Cup champions, the Springboks.
We appreciate these are challenging times and there is still a lot of uncertainty, but we remain optimistic that the match will take place and a crowd, of some capacity, will be permitted. British & Irish Lions continue to work closely with the Scottish Government, Scottish Rugby and public health authorities to follow the relevant guidance and ensure that the health and safety of ticketholders, teams and operational staff remains our highest priority.
Unfortunately, it is looking increasingly likely that a full capacity crowd is not going to be permitted and a significant reduction in spectators at this match will be required. Ticket purchasers will be updated as soon as more details of spectator capacity are known.
